SEATTLE - Seattle U track and field opened its 2022 indoor season Saturday at the UW Indoor Preview in Seattle at the Dempsey Indoor Center on the campus of Washington. Overall, the Redhawks set eleven new personal bests (PRs), ten new top ten marks and won two heats.
Redshirt junior Rowan Cuadrado and freshman Matthew Holme were the leaders on the track. Cuadrado ran her debut collegiate race in the 3000m, placing first in her heat with a time of 10:31.50. Also in his collegiate track debut, Holme passed Western Oregon's Keeton Sanchez on the final sprint to earn first place in his 800m heat with a time of 1:55.01.
Senior Tricht Jocelyn and junior Isaiah Payne both qualified for the finals in the 60m dash, placing seventh (7.86) and sixth (7.02) overall, respectively. Payne also finished second overall in the 200m dash, just .16 seconds off the leader. Fellow junior Lucas Milne qualified for the finals in the 60m hurdles and finished in fourth place with a time of 8.79, which was just .03 seconds off his personal best time.
Junior Ellie Postma finished in fifth place in the 800m, while the men's 4x400 meter relay team of sophomore Sebbie Law, junior Zach Gonzalez, freshman Conor Flaharty and Matthew Holme finished in fourth place overall and set the ninth all-time mark in school history.

Amadeus Eckart- new PR in the long jump.
Alex Franklin- new PR in the 800m which is third all-time.
Ashley Hagar- new PR in the triple jump.
Lilianne Hargreaves- new PR in the 3000m.
Matthew Holme- new PR in the 800m which is sixth all-time.
Tricht Jocelyn- set fourth and sixth all-time mark in the 60m and 200m.
Morgan Lewis- new PR in the 60m dash which is ninth all-time.
Kai Little- new PRs in shot put and weight throw that is third and sixth all-time respectively.
James Parker- new PR in the 800m which is 10th all-time.
Adahra Poasa- new PR in the 3000m.
4x400m relay team- Sebbie Law, Zach Gonzalez, Conor Flaharty and Matthew Holme set ninth all-time mark.
The Redhawks will return to the Dempsey Indoor Center for their next event, the UW Invitational, from Jan. 28-29.
