DENVER, Colo. - Seattle U's Samantha Bruce was named onto the All-WAC second team on Friday, following a vote by the nine head coaches of the Western Athletic Conference.

The junior from Makati City, Philippines, was the most consistent performer for the Redhawks this season. Bruce was one of two golfers to compete in all 16 rounds this season, posting an average score of 74.44. Her best performance of the year came at the Bobcat Spring Invitational where she took home the individual title and set a new program record for lowest score on a 36 hole event of 138. Bruce ends the season with one individual title, one top-10 performance and three more finishes inside the top-20.

"Sam is an extremely hard working young women with a clear vision," said Head Coach Marc Chandonnet. "I am truly thankful for all the effort she has put into this year and appreciative of her willingness to be coached. I have really enjoyed being able to see the fruits of her labor and I am confident that she'll be even more prepared to support this program in the coming years."
