SEATTLE – The Seattle U Redhawks had another night for the record books, putting up five all-time top-ten times in program history against Simon Fraser. The Redhawks would record top-ten times in the women's 400 IM, women's 100 Fly, men's 200 Free, women's 100 Breast, and women's 400 Medley Relay.
Sammy Mosier swam a 56.33 in the 100 Fly, setting a new career best and recording the third-fastest 100 Fly time in Seattle U history. Danika Himes would have the sixth-fastest 100 Breast time in program history with her 1:05.94.
Michaela Day's time of 4:32.82 in the 400 IM was the seventh-fastest in Seattle U history, with Day just beating out her teammates Tessa Oliver and Caitlin Caruso as the Redhawks finished 1-2-3 in that event. Cole Lanting swam a 1:41.14 in the 200 Free, the tenth-fastest time in Seattle U history.
The Redhawks ended the night strong, with the 400 Medley Relay team of Lydia Genson, Himes, Mosier, and Allison Plamondon swimming a 3:52.50, the eighth-fastest time in Seattle U history.
Kyle Bailey also earned an individual event title, swimming the fastest 100 Breast time of the year with a 58.68. Tyler Goodspeed had the fastest time of the year in the 100 Fly with his 51.07. Maggie Robben's 1:54.45 in the 200 Free was also a new season best for the Redhawks, while Genson added to her impressive night with a 59.69 in the 100 Back, also a new season high for Seattle U.
The weekend concludes tomorrow as Seattle U and Simon Fraser will compete one more time, with prelims at 10:30 am PT and finals at 5:30 pm PT.
