SEATTLE - The Redhawks head to Idaho for one game this weekend, playing Boise State on Thursday in Boise. This is the third consecutive year the Redhawks have played in Idaho, playing a different team each time: the Redhawks played at Idaho State in 2019-20 and at Idaho in 2020-21. Seattle U's last win in the state of Idaho was in 2017-18, when it beat Idaho 68-60 in Moscow. Seattle U last played Boise State in 2016-17, falling 68-73 in overtime in Boise.

FOLLOW THE REDHAWKS

THE HOT HAND

Bree Calhoun had 16 total points in the first three games of this season. Since then, she has reach that total twice in three games, averaging 14.3 PPG since then as Seattle U has gone 2-1. Calhoun has shot 48.4% over those three games, shooting over 50% with double-digit shot attempts twice. Calhoun shot 50% on over ten shots just six times in 25 games last season.

HAILEY VICE? NEAT!

Hailey Vice-Neat has played over 20 minutes in each of the last two games for the Redhawks. In that time, she has shot 62.5% from the field. Vice-Neat has scored eight points and six points in those two games, the first time she has scored 5+ points in back-to-back games since 2019-20.

BLOCK PARTY

Georgia Kehoe is now just one block away from eighth in Seattle U Division I history after recording four blocks in two games last weekend. Kehoe has a chance to move up the standings quickly: she is just five blocks away from tying Alexis Montgomery for fifth in Seattle U history. Kehoe is one of ten Redhawks in Division I history to record 50+ career blocks.

BOARD WORK

Courtney Murphy has recorded at least five rebounds in five of six games this year, including two nine-rebound games. Murphy is currently averaging 6.3 RPG: that would best Murphy's single-season high by 1.9 RPG. She has already recorded more rebounds than last season in four fewer games and is halfway to her freshman-year total in 11 fewer games.

GETTING BUCKETS

Since starting the year 9-for-30, McKenzi Williams has shot 47% from the field, averaging 12 PPG in that time. Williams has scored in double digits in four of six games thus far. Williams has now made at least one three-pointer in four straight games, tied for the longest such streak in her career.

LIGHTS OUT

Taliyah Clark is now shooting 15-for-20 to start her college career. Clark has missed multiple shots in just one game in her career, going 4-for-6 against UTEP.  Only once this year has Clark been held off the scoreboard, going 0-for-1 from the field in four minutes against Sacramento State. Clark is just outside of qualifying for the WAC shooting lead, making half a field goal less per game than is required for the leaderboard. Only two players in the WAC, Lamar's Akasha Davis and New Mexico State's Taylor Donaldson, are shooting over 60% on the season and qualify.

RAINING THREES

Courtney Murphy needs five more three pointers to become the fourth Redhawk ever with 150 or more in their career. She would join Kaylee Best (195), Ashley Payne (168), and Jessie DeLauney (153) in that regard. Murphy has made at least one three in 52 of her 60 career games and has made multiple in 45 games.

REBOUNDS!

Chinwe Ezeonu is closing in on 300 career rebounds, needing just one more. She has recorded 140+ rebounds in each of her two years at Seattle U, including a career-best 149 last year. Ezeonu tied for the team lead in rebounds last year with Georgia Kehoe. If either of them were to lead the team in rebounds this year, they would be the sixth Redhawk to do so in back-to-back years, joining Alexis Montgomery, Taelor Ross, Kacie Sowell, and Laina Sobczak.
