2006-07: Sobczak was Seattle’s leading scorer and rebounder in 2006-07, averaging 11.6 points and 5.5 rebounds. She played in all 27 games, averaging 24.6 minutes battling in the paint. Sobczak also led in shooting percentage at 50.4 percent. She recorded double-doubles three times, at on November 24 (10 and 10), versus Hope International on December 19 (14 and 12), and versus on January 25 (19 and 13). Sobczak scored a season high 20 points at on March 1. Sobczak was selected to the All-GNAC Second Team and was named GNAC player of the week on December 18.

2005-06: In three SU victories, Laina Sobczak posted three double-doubles for the Redhawks... In a 60-42 win against Northwest University Dec. 17, Sobczak dropped in 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. In a 68-50 win at Alaska-Fairbanks Jan. 19, Sobczak scored 14 points and grabbed 19 rebounds. In a 57-48 win at Western Oregon Feb. 9, Sobczak had 18 points and 13 rebounds... In 13 games, Sobczak grabbed five or more rebounds in a game for SU... In nine games, Sobczak scored at least 10 points or more in a game... In 15 games, Sobczak had at least one assist for the Redhawks... Sobczak scored at least 10 points in five straight games for the Redhawks, beginning with Alderson-Broaddus Dec. 11 and ending Northwest Nazarene Jan. 5. The Redhawks went 4-1 during that streak... After each of the three times that Sobczak grabbed at least 10 rebounds in a game for the Redhawks, Sobczak had a five game span each time where she averaged 4.2¬ rebounds or less... In the GNAC, Sobczak finished 28th in scoring, 12th in rebounding, 22nd in field goal percentage, 21st in free throw percentage, seventh in steals, fifth in offensive rebounds and 24th in defensive rebounds. Against GNAC teams, Sobczak scored 9.2 points (26th in GNAC), grabbed 5.7 rebounds (12th), shooting 40 percent from the floor (26th), shooting 67 percent from the free throw line (24th), had 1.83 steals per game (eighth), averaging 2.67 offensive rebounds (fifth) and grabbing 3.0 defensive rebounds per game (30th).

2004-05: Laina Sobczak opened her collegiate career in style by earning the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year award...earned the award by playing Dan Kriley[apos]s brand of basketball with hard work for the entire game...an injury allowed her to play in just 22 games but started 19...averaged 24.0 minutes per game, which was second-best on the team...was also second-best in scoring at 11.3 points per game, second on the team in steals with 36 and third in blocked shots with nine...led the team with 6.7 rebounds per game with nearly half of those boards coming on the offensive end of the court...scored 20-plus points three different times in 2004-05 including a career-best 26 points against Western New Mexico (01/04/05)...that was one of two double-doubles on the year for Sobczak as she also pulled down a career-best 15 rebounds against Western New Mexico...other double-double came against cal State Stanislaus (12/18/04) with 19 points and 11 rebounds...had four steals in a game against Alaska-Anchorage (01/06/05).

Curtis HS: Sobczak led Curtis HS to its first league title in school history in 2004...team also made its first state tournament appearance since 1983...was named league MVP as a senior...was also first-team all-league and first-team all-area in her final two years of high school...also competed in tennis and track and field...completed an undefeated tennis season in 2002-03 and played for the league championship team.
