A HELPING HAND

Bree Calhoun set a new Seattle U Division I assist record to start the year, dishing out 15 helpers against Northwest. Calhoun surpassed the previous record of 13, set by Jazmine Johnson in 2015, by the third quarter. Calhoun is one of just three Redhawks ever to record multiple double-digit assist games, joining Kaylee Best and Alexis Montgomery in that regard. Montgomery is the only Redhawk to do it more than twice, doing it three times in 2018.

TALIY-ISN'T MISSING

Taliyah Clark started her collegiate career off strong, going 6-for-6 from the field against Northwest, then making her only shot against UC San Diego. The 7-for-7 start from the field is the best by a freshman in Seattle U's DI history. The six makes in a freshman's debut are the most since Courtney Murphy went 6-for-7 against Cal State Bakersfield in 2019.

GEORGIA KEHOE-FFENSIVE REBOUND

Georgia Kehoe has 11 offensive rebounds through two games, including a career-best seven offensive rebounds against UC San Diego. Kehoe matched her previous career high with four offensive rebounds in the season opener. The 11 offensive rebounds are the most by Kehoe in a two-game span ever: only once in her career has she had as many as 11 offensive rebounds in a four-game span. The last Redhawk with seven offensive rebounds in a game was Joana Alves, who did so against New Mexico State in 2020.

RAINING THREES

Courtney Murphy moved to fourth in Seattle U history in three-pointers, tying Mandy Matzke with 136. Murphy needs 15 more to move into a tie with Jessie DeLauney for third. Murphy has made at least one three in 49 of her 56 career games and has made multiple in 42 games.

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK

The Redhawks currently lead the WAC with 19.5 assists per game. Four different Redhawks are averaging multiple assists per game thus far. The Redhawks had 30 assists against Northwest, their most in a single game since 2008, when they recorded 32 assists against Cascade College.

GETTING BUCKETS

McKenzi Williams needs just 21 more points to reach 700 in her career. Williams has scored in double digits in eight of her last ten games stretching to last year. She has just four games with single-digit points since the beginning of the 2020-21 season. In that time, she has averaged 16 PPG against non-conference opponents and 16 PPG on the road, including four 20+ point road performances.

REBOUNDS!

Chinwe Ezeonu is closing in on 300 career rebounds, needing just one more. She has recorded 140+ rebounds in each of her two years at Seattle U, including a career-best 149 last year. Ezeonu tied for the team lead in rebounds last year with Georgia Kehoe. If either of them were to lead the team in rebounds this year, they would be the sixth Redhawk to do so in back-to-back years, joining Alexis Montgomery, Taelor Ross, Kacie Sowell, and Laina Sobczak.
