LOS ANGELES – The Seattle U Redhawks finished of their third meet in three days, competing against Loyola Marymount, San Diego State, and Grand Canyon. The Redhawks were again led by Danika Himes and Sammy Mosier, who earned four individual event titles between them.
Mosier continued her strong weekend, winning the 200 Free (1:56.29) over San Diego State and LMU as well as the 100 Free (54.04) over LMU. Mosier was a part of the 200 Free Relay team along with Emilia Culberson, Anna Edwards, and Allison Plamondon that beat LMU with a time of 1:40.73.
Himes would take home titles in the 200 Breast and 200 Back. In the 200 Breast, Himes' time of 2:23.65 was good enough to be Grand Canyon and LMU. Her 2:10.56 time in the 200 Back earned Himes a win over host LMU.
Michael Luna had Seattle U's highest finish on the men's side, earning second place in the 500 Free with a 4:46.59. Will Corona had a 4:09.23 in the 400 IM, finishing third, just .07 seconds behind second place.
A trio of Redhawks earned third-place finishes as well. Ryan Ascencio had a 200 Fly time of 1:58.92 to take third. Jack Neton finished third in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:09.71. Max Chesno had a 1000 Free time of 10:06.76 to finish third.
Seattle U also finished third in the men's 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:26.35. That team consisted of Nicholas Imig, Cole Lanting, Noa Copp, and Tyler Goodspeed.
The Redhawks will have their first home meet of the season next. The women will compete at home against Idaho on Saturday, November 6 at 1:00 pm.
