LOS ANGELES – The Seattle U Redhawks finished the second day of three consecutive days of competition with a strong showing at Loyola Marymount. The women defeated host LMU in their dual meet, then fell to San Diego State and Grand Canyon. The men took second behind Grand Canyon.
 
Sammy Mosier had another impressive day, taking home event titles over LMU in the 50 Free (24.33) and 100 Fly (58.77). Mosier also joined Emilia Culberson, Maggie Robben, and Isabella Guadiamos in the 400 Free Relay that defeated LMU and San Diego State with a time of 3:42.26, just behind Grand Canyon.
 
Danika Himes also had multiple event titles. Himes beat LMU in the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.12. Then, in the 100 Breast, Himes finished second only to Grand Canyon with her time of 1:07.49. Kalie Bui finished just behind her, finishing third overall with a 1:07.98.
 
Manna Nelson and Michaela Day took first and second against LMU in the 1650 Free. Nelson had a time of 18:39.69, with Day finishing behind her with a time of 18:48.21.
 
On the men's side, Juan Varela finished second in the 1650 Free with his time of 16:49.22. Justin Kalugin took third in that event with a 16:54.02.
 
Cole Lanting also had a second-place finish, coming in the 200 IM. Lanting swam a 1:55.56 in that event.
 
The Redhawks will finish out the weekend tomorrow at 11:00 am. The men will compete with Grand Canyon once again, while the women compete with Grand Canyon, San Diego State, and host Loyola Marymount.
