BARTLEY BALLIN' OUT
Sierra Bartley had her third double-digit kill performance in the last four matches, putting up 10+ kills in both matches against California Baptist last weekend. Bartley has hit over .250 in all four of those matches and over .300 in three of four, including a career-best 17-kill match against Utah Valley in which she hit .400. Bartley has made more than three errors just four times this year and has done so just once in the last five matches.
GOINS THE DISTANCE
Darian Goins now has double-digit assists in 13 straight matches. Goins has been held to single-digit assists just twice all season, in both matches on August 28. Five times during Goins' streak she has recorded 20+ assists, including a career-best 47-assist match against Eastern Washington.
POP LOCK AND BLOCK IT
Julia Queiroz had her 13-match block streak come to a close, going without a block against California Baptist on Saturday. Queiroz has multiple blocks in 12 matches this year and has gone without a block just twice. She needs one solo block away from 30, which would tie her with Maja Stojanovic for third in Seattle U history. Only Martina Samadan (52) and Jordan Keller (35) have more solo blocks in program history. Queiroz also needs just three more total blocks to tie Janet Beckerman for sixth all-time and 12 more to tie with Jamie Mellies for fifht all-time.
CAN YOU DIG IT
In her first seven matches of the year, Sofia Sanchez had four total digs. Since then, Sanchez has recorded 50 digs in six matches, with six or more digs in all six matches. Sanchez has two double-digit dig performances, recording a double-double with kills and digs against Utah Valley and falling one kill short of one against California Baptist. Sanchez's 54 digs are the second-most in a single season in her career, behind only 2018's 88 digs in 104 sets.
200 IS THE NEW 20
Katlyn Sipes needs just 14 digs to reach 200 on the season. Sipes would be the first Redhawk freshman with 200+ digs in a single season since 2017, when Tijana Milojevic had 504 digs. Sipes has 5+ digs in every match this year and has eight total double-digit dig matches.
MOVING UP THE RANKINGS
Eve Kerschenbaum now has 148 kills and the season and is closing in on Seattle U's top-five all-time. Kerschenbaum needs just 20 more kills to tie Libby Graff for sixth in Seattle U history. With 90 more kills, Kerschenbaum can tie Sarah Jaeckel for fifth in Seattle U history. Kerschenbaum's 148 kills this year are the second-most in her career, behind only 2019's 401 kills in 116 sets.
EZGI ASSISTS
Ezgi Ozkan's 15-match streak with double-digit assists came to a close when she recorded nine assists against California Baptist Saturday. Ozkan has recorded double-digit assists in all but four matches in her career, with two of those matches coming in 2019. The California Baptist match was the first in Ozkan's career in which she played in every set and did not reach 10+ assists. This year, Ozkan has three matches with 20+ assists.
