• SU's game with UW on Sept. 20 saw 1,377 fans come to Championship Field. It marks the most fans at a Redhawk men's soccer match since Sept. 24, 2017, when 1,800 fans poured in to watch Seattle U host Washington.
• Grand Canyon sports a 5-1-0 record heading into WAC play. Its lone loss came to Washington earlier this month. The Lopes, ranked 19th in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, beat Cal Poly, 3-2 in overtime, in their last outing.
• Seattle U was voted to take second in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll. GCU was the preseason favorite after winning the regular season crown in the spring. The Lopes, along with WAC Tournament champion Air Force, made the NCAA Tournament earlier this year.
• Seattle U scored the first two goals of the game, but Portland rallied for a 3-2 win on Sept. 17. Noe Meza and Levonte Johnson each scored in the Caffe D'arte Coffee Cup at Merlo Field.
• The Redhawks rallied to defeat Dartmouth, 3-2 in overtime, on Sept. 12. James Morris scored in the 93rd minute for SU's second OT win in six days. Alex-Acton Petronotis and Hal Uderitz each scored in regulation as Seattle U wracked up a season-high 14 corner kicks. Both regulation goals came off corner kick situations.
• SU fell, 2-1, to No. 14 Oregon State on Sept. 10. Akili Kasim posted three saves in the match at Championship Field. OSU scored two goals early in the second half to take control of the contest.
• Seattle U claimed a 1-0 double-overtime win at No. 24 Duke on Sept. 6, as Alex Acton-Petronotis scored in the 106th minute. The victory marked SU's first-ever over an ACC program.
• SU's win over No. 24 Duke is the Redhawks' first victory over a nationally-ranked opponent since Sept. 23, 2018, when Seattle U knocked off No. 16 Washington.
• The Redhawks led for much of the night and held a 2-0 lead late in the second half, but Charlotte rallied for a 3-2 win on Sept. 2. Josh Castrillon and Noe Meza scored, while Akili Kasim recorded seven saves in net.
• In his 29th career appearance, defender Josh Castrillon claimed his first goal as a Redhawk at Charlotte on Sept. 2. He had previously dished out one assist for his lone point in 2019.
• Seattle U took down UC Davis, 3-1, on Aug. 28 at Championship Field. Jesse Ortiz, Declan McGlynn, and James Morris each scored as SU finished a weekend sweep to start the fall.
• Junior Declan McGlynn was chosen WAC Offensive Player of the Week, for the period ending on Aug. 29. The forward scored two goals in a pair of home wins, including the game-winner in the Redhawks' 1-0 victory over Cal State Fullerton. It is the third weekly conference honor of the Kirkland, Wash., native's career.
• The Redhawks beat Cal State Fullerton, 1-0, to kick off the fall season on Aug. 26. Declan McGlynn scored on a free kick and Akili Kasim made two saves in goal at Championship Field.
Akili Kasim recorded his 14th career shutout in the season opener with Cal State Fullerton on Aug. 26. He claimed 10 clean sheets in 2019 and three in the spring season earlier this year.

• Seattle U is the lone Division I program to win at least 11 games in each of the seven fall seasons.
• The Redhawks host 11 games at Championship Field, highlighted by the WAC/101 Club Cup against Washington on September 20.
