"We had a fantastic opening week, as we got to know all our new athletes and reconnect with the returners," said Head Coach Marc Chandonnet. "I have been really encouraged by the fact that we are so competitive as a group and I know this will benefit us later in the season as we continue to improve. I'm looking forward to spending time with this group and hoping we can dial in immediately and appreciate each moment."

The Redhawks will be competing against golfers from Boise State, Cal Poly, CSU Bakersfield, CSUN, Dixie State, Gonzaga, Idaho State, Montana State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Portland State, Southern Utah, UT Rio Grande Valley, Weber State, Wyoming and Utah Valley. Seattle U will send graduate student Keisha Lugito, senior Samantha Bruce and freshman Maria Fedorowycz, Rivekka Jumagulova and Shayna Lu

Bruce and Lugito led this group as the former was a 2020-21 All-WAC Second Team member and the latter competed in every tournament last season, posting one top-10 finish. They are joined by three talented freshman, Maria Fedorowycz, Rivekka Jumagulova and Shayna Lu, for the opening tournament. Fedorowycz and Jumagulova join the Redhawks from Montverde Academy where they both won numerous individual titles, while Lu rounds out this group with a strong resume that includes individual wins at the 2020 Majors Champions Invitational, 2019 Mary Cave Cup and 2019 Asia Pacific Junior Cup.
