• Seattle U claimed a 1-0 double-overtime win at No. 24 Duke on Sept. 6, as Alex Acton-Petronotis scored in the 106th minute. The victory marked SU's first-ever over an ACC program.
• SU's win over No. 24 Duke is the Redhawks' first victory over a nationally-ranked opponent since Sept. 23, 2018, when Seattle U knocked off No. 16 Washington.
• Oregon State is 3-1-0 to start this season. It lost, 1-0, to Grand Canyon on Monday. The Beavers advanced to the NCAA Tournament last spring.
• The Redhawks led for much of the night and held a 2-0 lead late in the second half, but Charlotte rallied for a 3-2 win on Sept. 2. Josh Castrillon and Noe Meza scored, while Akili Kasim recorded seven saves in net.
• In his 29th career appearance, defender Josh Castrillon claimed his first goal as a Redhawk at Charlotte on Sept. 2. He had previously dished out one assist for his lone point in 2019.
• Seattle U took down UC Davis, 3-1, on Aug. 28 at Championship Field. Jesse Ortiz, Declan McGlynn, and James Morris each scored as SU finished a weekend sweep to start the fall.
• Junior Declan McGlynn was chosen WAC Offensive Player of the Week, for the period ending on Aug. 29. The forward scored two goals in a pair of home wins, including the game-winner in the Redhawks' 1-0 victory over Cal State Fullerton. It is the third weekly conference honor of the Kirkland, Wash., native's career.
• The Redhawks beat Cal State Fullerton, 1-0, to kick off the fall season on Aug. 26. Declan McGlynn scored on a free kick and Akili Kasim made two saves in goal at Championship Field.
• Akili Kasim recorded his 14th career shutout in the season opener with Cal State Fullerton on Aug. 26. He claimed 10 clean sheets in 2019 and three in the spring season earlier this year.
• Seattle U was voted to take second in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll. Akili Kasim and Noe Meza were selected Preseason All-WAC.
• SU Coach Pete Fewing begins his 28th season this fall. He has guided the Redhawks to four WAC Tournament titles (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019) and three WAC regular-season crowns (2013, 2015, 2019) since 2013.

Effective Friday, Sept. 16, Seattle University Athletics has updated policies for ticketed athletic events and will require all spectators over the age of 12 to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, a negative PCR test administered within 72 hours of the event or a negative antigen test administered within 24 hours of the event prior to entering any on-campus venue. This will include all home men's and women's soccer and volleyball games.
Fans will be screened at the entry of each respective venue. Children under the age of 12 do not need to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test for entry.
