RIVERSIDE, CALIF. - Seattle U track and field took part in its third meet of the season on Friday when it traveled to Riverside, Calif., to compete in the Chris Rinne Twilight. As a team, the Redhawks set 13 new marks on their all time top-10 outdoor list and came away with two new record holders.

Sophomore Regie Grady improved her 200m time to 25.84 which moves her up three spots as she now sits fifth all time, while junior Lance Slichko finished third, just making it into the top-10 list as he now sits tenth with a time of 8:42.14 in the 3,000m and freshman Emily Harris earns first place in the 3,000m with a time of 10:20.18 which was also good enough for seventh all time. Three new marks were set in the long jump as freshman Morgan Young moved up five spots to fourth with a mark of 5.58m, while freshman Xavier Kelley moves up one spot to sixth with a mark of 6.24m and sophomore Rachel Van Liew now owns a spot on the top-10 list at eight with a mark 5.23m. Rounding out the new marks is sophomore Lucas Milne who nows ranks eighth all time in the javelin throw with a mark of 38.98m.
"The energy from one event group to another was contagious throughout the day," said Assistant Coach Chad Pharis. "Having Bry set a school record, Isaiah set a meet record and the large number of PRs across the board shows that we are headed in the right direction as a program. Being able to take this trip to Southern California to compete against some great universities was just what this team needed and I look forward to seeing our continued development."
Seattle U's next event will be when they co-host the Seattle U SPU Dual on Apr. 10, starting at 2 p.m.
