SEDONA, Ariz. - Seattle U women's golf completed its first of three straight tournaments in Arizona on Sunday when it finished in fourth out of 19 teams at the Red Rocks Invitational, hosted by Northern Arizona. Grand Canyon's Payton Fehringer took home first place with a shot total of 8-under, while Grand Canyon won the team title on a tiebreaker. Seattle U posted a team score of 41-over, with its best team round of 298 coming on Sunday. The two-day event took place at Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz., on the 6,155 yards course with a par of 72.

Leading the Redhawks was senior Kimberlee Tottori as she showed great consistency throughout the event, finishing in eighth place with a shot total of 221 (75-72-74). Behind Tottori, was junior Samantha Bruce (76-81-70) who put together a great performance in round three after struggling in round two. Senior Keisha Lugito (77-74-77) finished just one stroke behind her, while fellow senior Krystal Hu finished with a three round total of 232 (77-77-78). Rounding out Seattle U's participants was senior Vendela From (75-83-77) who was also making her season debut in this tournament.

"We left some shots out there that we could have made," said Head Coach Marc Chandonnet. "I've got high expectations for this group and I know we can do even better then this. That being said it is tough to compete at that level all the time and with it being finals week, it is still a respectable finish. We will get refocused after this small break and continue to focus our efforts on being more efficient in our metal preparation as we approach the post season."

The Redhawks will return to Arizona on Apr. 5-6 when they travel to Maricopa to compete in the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
