SEATTLE — With the majority of the non-conference schedule in the books, Seattle U baseball now turns its attention to Western Athletic Conference play. The Redhawks open #WACtion with a four-game tilt in Phoenix, Ariz., as they square off with Grand Canyon. Friday will be the Redhawks' first regular season conference game since May 18, 2019 – 671 days ago.

Austin Lively led the team in hitting (.571) as he was one of six Redhawks to above .250 for the weekend. Lively also had a team-high five walks, while Justin Mazzone paced the lineup with four RBI. Riley Sinclair was strong in two relief appearances finishing the series with 0.00 ERA in 4.0 innings of work.
ABOUT GRAND CANYON
GCU entered the week with a 5-9-1 record after splitting its opening WAC series with UTRGV. The Lopes opened the season taking 3-of-4 from Missouri, before dropping its next six to the likes of Oregon State and Oklahoma State. Grand Canyon was 9-9 last season and 36-24 during the 2019 campaign. The team is led by Andy Stankiewicz, who's in his 10th season with the program.

Prior to this weekend, Seattle U and Grand Canyon have met 19 times. The Redhawks trail the all-time series, 13-6, and are 2-7 in Phoenix. Seattle U went 0-3 in its last series at GCU during the 2019 season.
