Seattle U volleyball returns home to the Redhawk Center for a two-match set with conference foe, UTRGV on Mar. 8-9. The Redhawks are 1-7 during the modified spring schedule and are look to bounce back after being swept last week by NM State.
Redhawks x ESPN
The unorthodox Spring 2021 campaign marks the inaugural season for Seattle U volleyball being broadcasted on ESPN+. Every home match this season will on the World Wide Leader's subscription based app exclusively in the United States. International audiences will be able to watch the Redhawks on the WAC Digital Network.

• The 2020-21 academic year marks the first season for head coach Michelle Cole, after being announced as the program's fourth Divison I head coach on Feb. 6, 2020.

About The Redhawks
• At home this season, Seattle U is hitting .169, averages 12.3 kills/set and leads opponents in aces, 21-17. Defensively, the Redhawks average 2.0 blocks/set with a digs/set at a 16.3-clip.
• Ezgi Ozkan began the week listed among WAC leaders is assists (4th, 234) and assists/set (3rd, 8.36). She has recorded 30 or more assists in 12 of 15 matches, and has reached the 30-assist plateau 19 times in her Redhawk career.
• Sophia Bertotti Metoyer is hitting a team-best .207 (43-15-135) on the year and leads all Redhawks with a .284-clip (41-10-109) at home. Her 12 blocks at the Redhawk Center to begin the week was also a team-high.
• Three Redhawks are hitting .245 or better this season while playing at home this season with at least 35 attempts. In addition to Bertotti Metoyer (.284), Lauren McCabe leads the trio with a .324-clip, while Ozkan began the week hitting .245.
• On Mar. 4, Tijana Milojevic ended a her double-digit dig streak at 30 consecutive matches, which began on Sept. 14, 2019, and registered 20 or more digs eight times during the stretch. The streak was a career best, eclipsing her previous mark of 23-straight (9/2-11/16/2017).
• On Feb. 23, 2021, Milojevic became only the second player in program-history to reach 1,600 career digs joining all-time program Maggie Safranski (2,008). She entered the UTRGV matches with 1,617 digs.
Milestones & Chart Movers
• Milojevic began the week with 101 career aces, becoming the 7th Redhawk to record 100 aces since 2001. She is three shy of Casey Hussey for sixth on the all-time list.
• Entering the week with 1,617 digs, Milojevic is the program's career Div. I-era leader, as she trails all-time mark of 2,008 set by Maggie Safranski.
• Milojevic began the week playing 359 career sets and is 9th in the team's Div. I-era, and is nine sets shy of passing Matea Mamic for 8th on the list. In addition, Milojevic is four match appearance shy of 100, which would make her the 13th Redhawk since 2001 to reach the mark.
• Eve Kerschenbaum started the week with 575 career kills. She 25 shy of 600 and 30 kills short of breaking into the Seattle U Div. I-era Top 10.
• Lauren McCabe entered the UTRGV series with 98 career blocks and two shy of becoming the 23rd Redhawk since 2001 to reach the century mark.
• Julia Queiroz began the week with 209 career blocks and listed 9th among the program's Div. I-era charts. She is 10 blocks shy of passing Cristin Richards for 8th.

Opponent Preview: UTRGV
• The Vaqueros began the week carrying a 1-7 record in WAC play, and 1-9 mark overall.
• UTRGV ended an eight-match skid last Monday, with a 3-0 win against CBU.
