• The Redhawks played to a 1-1 tie with UNLV on Feb. 27 at Championship Field. Habib Barry scored late in regulation to force OT. Akili Kasim recorded eight stops in net.
• SU won, 3-0, at Houston Baptist on Feb. 13. Akili Kasim made five saves for his first shutout of the season, while James Morris, Habib Barry, and Deniz Dogan each scored a goal.
• Akili Kasim was named WAC Defensive Player of the Week after making five saves in the shutout at HBU on Feb. 13. It marked Kasim's second career WAC weekly honor. The junior has 11 career shutouts at SU.
• Seattle U fell to UTRGV, 1-0, in the WAC opener on Feb. 6 at Championship Field. Akili Kasim made four saves in the contest, which saw SU's 17-game unbeaten streak snapped.
• The Redhawks opened the 2021 season with a 3-2 double-overtime win over Gonzaga on Feb. 3 at Championship Field. Munier Hussen scored in the 106th minute to lift SU to a dramatic victory. Jesse Ortiz scored two goals in regulation.
• Munier Hussen's game-winner is just the second goal scored by a Redhawk after the 100th minute since Coach Pete Fewing returned in 2012. Kyle Bjornethun scored in the 103rd minute on Oct. 18, 2014, against Utah Valley.
• SU has won seven straight home openers at Championship Field.
• Seattle U was picked to win the WAC, according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll. It marks the fifth time in the last seven seasons that SU is the preseason favorite.
• Senior Noe Meza was voted WAC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and junior Alex Acton-Petronotis was named WAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Meza and Acton-Petronotis joined junior Akili Kasim and sophomore James Morris on the Preseason All-WAC team.
• Seattle U is the lone Division I program to win at least 11 games in each of the last seven seasons.
• SU has won an NCAA Tournament match in each of its four Division I appearances. It won at Creighton (2013), at home against UCLA (2015), at Washington (2017), and at Loyola Marymount (2019).
• The Redhawks have won four WAC Tournament crowns (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019).
• In 2019, James Morris became the fourth Redhawk to win WAC Freshman of the Year since 2013. Kyle Bjornethun (2013), Sergio Rivas (2015), and Declan McGlynn (2018) have also taken home the honor.
