SEATTLE – Seattle U track and field heads back to the Dempsey Indoor facility on the University of Washington campus this weekend for the UW Invitational, held from Jan. 31-Feb. 1. This will be the Redhawks' third meet of the season, and their first multi-day event.
The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) currently has Seattle U's men ranked 20th and Seattle U's women tied for 31st in the West Region rankings.
Day One of the meet (Jan. 31) will begin at 1:00 p.m. PT, while Day Two (Feb. 1) kicks things off at 10:00 a.m.
Seattle U's men will be competing against athletes from the Academy of Art, Alaska Anchorage, Arizona, Boise State, Butler, BYU, Calgary, California, Concordia (Ore.), Eastern Washington, Fresno Pacific, Gonzaga, Idaho, Idaho State, no. 25 Iowa, no. 20 Iowa State, Linfield, Long Beach State, Nebraska, Portland, Portland State, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Simon Fraser, Southern Utah, Trinity Western, no. 22 UCLA, Utah State, Victoria, Washington, Washington State, Western Oregon and Western Washington.
The women will enter a slightly larger field, which includes representatives from the Academy of Art, Alaska Anchorage, Alberta, Arizona, Boise State, British Columbia, Butler, no. 25 BYU, California, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State San Marcos, Central Washington, College of Idaho, Colorado Springs, Concordia (Ore.), Eastern Washington, Fresno Pacific, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Idaho State, Iowa State, Linfield, Long Beach State, Northwestern, Oregon State, Pacific (Ore.), Portland, Portland State, Sacramento State, San Diego State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Seattle Pacific, Simon Fraser, Southern Oregon, Southern Utah, Stanislaus State, Trinity Western, UC Davis, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, UNLV, Utah, Utah State, no. 13 Washington, Washington State, Weber State, Western Oregon, Western Washington and Wichita State.
