DENVER — After a solid mid-week performance, Seattle U baseball sophomore Julian Kodama was named the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Hitter of the Hitter, announced by the conference office Monday.
An infielder from Edmonds, Wash., Kodama was integral in Redhawks' 10-2 victory over Saint Martin's last Wednesday, going 3-for-4 on the day and accounted for four of SU's 10 runs on the game, driving in two while crossing home twice himself. It was his sixth multiple-hit game of the season and he pushed his reached base streak to 15 games.
With the announcement, Kodama becomes first Seattle U player to earn the honor since Dalton Hurd on April 16, 2018, and joins Jarrod Billig who garnered weekly pitcher honors earlier in the month.
