SEATTLE – Riding a three-game win streak, Seattle U men’s basketball (6-2) continues its 10-game homestand this week, closing out Elgin Baylor Classic play on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. versus Northwest University. ABOUT THE SERIES VS NORTHWEST
Seattle U is 17-6 all-time against Northwest University. SU and Northwest met regularly in the late 1980’s, throughout the 1990s and into the early 2000s as NAIA and NCAA DII members. The teams have met three times in the past decade with the Redhawks winning all three meetings. The programs last met on Dec. 1, 2016 as Seattle U claimed an 82-65 victory at KeyArena.

The Redhawks went a perfect 3-0 over three consecutive days of games at the Elgin Baylor Classic from Nov. 23-25 in the Redhawk Center. Morgan Means poured in a career-high 26 points in an 82-63 win over Denver, four Redhawks scored in double-figures in an 83-80 win over Fairfield and Matej Kavas tallied 22 points to go along with 13 rebounds in a 70-50 win over Longwood.

- Seattle U has opened the season with a 6-2 record through eight games, the best start to a season in its modern day Division I era.
- Morgan Means leads the Redhawks in scoring through eight games, averaging 15.9 ppg. The junior guard averaged 20.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game during the 3-0 stretch last week.
- Terrell Brown came up just two points shy of a triple-double on Nov. 23 versus Denver. The junior guard finished with eight points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in the game. Brown leads the Redhawks with an average of 5.3 assists per game.
- Seattle U leads the WAC in FG percentage (46.6) and FG percentage defense (37.6). They are also first in blocks per game (4.1).
- Morgan Means ranks third in scoring (15.9 ppg), Terrell Brown ranks second in assists (5.3 per game) and Myles Carter ranks second in rebounds (7.5), third in FG% (64.3%) and first in blocks (3.0).
- Myles Carter was named WAC Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 5-11. The Chicago native averaged 18.0 points on 62.9 percent shooting, 8.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks over three games as Seattle U opened the season 2-1.
- The Redhawks play a 19-game home schedule in 2018-19, and host 22 total contests as the schedule includes a three-team, six-game tournament. The Redhawk Center, located on the Seattle U campus, will serve as the primary venue for the 2018-19 season due to the renovation and shutdown of KeyArena, scheduled to take place in 2019 and 2020. Seattle U is excited to partner with the Oak View Group and return to the newly-renovated $700 million Seattle Center Arena in 2020-21.
- Seattle U has compiled a 222-144 (.607) record in North Court, including a 15-game winning streak that began Nov. 5, 2008 with a perfect 10-0 mark during the 2008-09 season. In 2017-18, the Redhawks went 9-1 at the Redhawk Center.
