SEATTLE - (Oct. 20) Four games remain on the Western Athletic Conference regular-season slate for Seattle University men’s soccer, including two this weekend. The Redhawks (9-4-1, 5-0-1 WAC) have their fourth straight split weekend, traveling to Incarnate Word (4-6-2, 2-2-1 WAC) on Friday, Oct. 21, then returning home to Championship Field on Sunday, Oct. 23 to host UTRGV (3-7-2, 1-3-1 WAC).

ABOUT THE REDHAWKS (9-4-1, 5-0-1 WAC)
• Seattle U remained unbeaten in WAC play with a 1-1 double-overtime draw at UMKC (Oct. 14) and a 2-1 win over Grand Canyon (Oct. 16) on Championship Field last week.
Sergio Rivas scored the lone goal against the Roos while Isidro Prado-Huerta and David Olsen scored against the Lopes.
• The 2-1 win over GCU on Sunday pushes the Redhawks’ win streak at Championship Field to 13 straight. The team went 10-1 on its home pitch in 2015, including the final eight matches. This season they are a perfect 5-0 thus far.
• Seattle U leads the WAC in shots (213, 15.2 per game) and corner kicks (76, 5.4 per game). The squad is also second in points (78), goals (27), goals per game (1.93), assists (24), assists per game (1.71), goals allowed (13), GAA (0.91) and shutouts (6).
• Twelve different Redhawks have combined to score 27 goals through 14 games.
Alex Roldan has five goals and three assists through 14 games to lead the Redhawks with 13 points. The senior also leads the WAC with four game-winning goals.
• Eleven different players have posted at least one assist, including Jeff Rose and Sergio Rivas who each have a team-high four.
• Redshirt senior Jordan Hadden made the first two starts of his career on Oct. 6 and Oct. 8, posting a pair of shutouts against Utah Valley and CSU Bakersfield, on his way to earning WAC Defensive Player of the Week.
• The Redhawks were the preseason favorite to repeat as Western Athletic Conference champions, according to a vote by the league’s 11 head coaches.
• Senior defender Kyle Bjornethun and junior forward David Olsen were selected as WAC Preseason Defensive and Offensive Player of the Year, respectively.
• The duo were also named to the watch list for the 2016 Missouri Athletic Club’s (MAC) Hermann Trophy. Olsen was a semifinalist for the 2015 WAC Hermann Trophy, Bjornthun was the 2015 WAC Defensive Player of the Year. The two were also named NSCAA All-Americans last season with Olsen earning first team honors and Bjornethun picking up second team honors.

ABOUT THE CARDINALS (4-6-2, 2-2-1 WAC)
Incarnate Word is 4-6-2 overall and 2-2-1 in WAC play after splitting a pair of games on the road last week. The Cardinals dropped a 1-0 decision at CSU Bakersfield, but bounced back for a 4-1 win at San Jos State. Nine different players have found the back of the net, including three goals apiece from Wouter Peters and Ben Conway. In goal, Jorge Guzman has played the majority of the minutes, going 4-4-2 with 32 saves and a 1.34 GAA.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST UIW
Seattle U is 2-0-0 all-time against Incarnate Word, including a 4-2 victory on Championship Field last season. David Olsen recorded a hat trick in the game while Sam Langston provided the fourth goal on a penalty kick.

ABOUT THE VAQUEROS (3–7-2, 1-3-1 WAC)
UT Rio Grande Valley has lost seven of their last nine to enter the week at 3-7-2 overall and 1-3-1 in WAC play. The Vaqueros play at CSU Bakersfield on Friday before making the trip to Seattle Sunday. In that stretch of nine games, three straight losses came in overtime while a fourth game ended in a scoreless double-overtime draw. All told, UTRGV has played five overtime (including four double-overtime) games this season. Seven players have scored at least one goal, led by Jaakko Hietikko with two.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST UTRGV
Only one previous meeting exists between Seattle U and UTRGV - a 2-1 Redhawk victory in Edinburg, Texas, last fall. David Olsen and Michael Roberts scored for SU in the match.
