The Redhawks plated two in the first on a Sheldon Stober (Kent, Wash.) RBI single and a Brock Carpenter (Nanaimo, B.C., Canada) double later in the inning and score four more in the third on four singles.
Northern Colorado cut into their deficit with a run in the sixth and two more in the seventh, 6-3, before the Redhawks took a convincing lead, 10-3, with four runs in the eighth on a two-RBI Carpenter single and a two-RBI Jeffrey Morgan (Auburn, Wash.) double.
At the plate, Carpenter went a perfect 4-for-4, scoring two runs and bringing in three more while five Redhawks had a multi-hit game.
Ted Hammond (Shoreline, Wash.) picked up the win on the mound, striking out four in 5 2/3 innings pitched.
