Tied 9-9 through nine innings, Dalton Hurd (Bend, Ore.) doubled in what would be the winning run on a two-strike double in the 10th.
The Redhawks took an early 5-1 lead through one inning on a pair of two-RBI singles from Brock Carpenter (Milton, Wash.) and Jack Reisinger (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) and a Lucas Denney (Goldendale, Wash.) RBI double. SU would lead, 6-2, an inning later as Carpenter drove in his third run of the game with a single.
The Aggies pulled within two, 6-4, in the third on a two-run Austin Botello homer before tying the game in the fifth, 6-6. Daniel Johnson led off the fifth with a solo home run on the second pitch before Mason Fishback doubled home a run with two outs.
Each team scored two apiece in the seventh to re-tie the game, 8-8, as Jeffrey Morgan (Auburn, Wash.) brought home two with a double down the left field line.
NM State took their only lead of the game in the eighth, scoring an unearned run on a wild pitch, before the Redhawks tied the game at nine in the ninth on a Carpenter leadoff home run.
Hurd, Carpenter, and Sheldon Stober (Kent, Wash.) each tallied three hits apiece for SU while Carpenter drove in a team-high four RBIs. Overall, the Redhawks outhit the Aggies, 15-14.
Connor Moore (West Richland, Wash.) picked up his second win on the mound, facing nine batters, striking out three.
