Seattle University men’s tennis swept all three doubles matches and finished with six straight singles wins en route to a 7-0 victory vs. Linfield. The team’s five member graduating class – Ian Clare (Sachse, Texas), Tanner Berkabile (Las Vegas, Nev.), Will Topp (Olympia, Wash.), Brian Nguyen (Edmonds, Wash.), and Gus Orlando (Sacramento, Calif.) – was also honored in their final regular season home match.

“A big thank you and congratulations to our seniors – Ian, Will, Brian, Gus, and Tanner,” said head coach Adam Reeb. “They’ve been a huge part of our program and we are thankful for their efforts and proud of them. They had a great day today and they deserved the win.”

Seattle U easily clinched the first point with three doubles victories before earning six straight sets victories in singles play.

“It was a nice total team win today,” said Reeb. “Everyone played and contributed. It’s been a good season getting to double digit wins but we’re not done as we can’t wait to head to Texas for the WAC Tournament next weekend. There are a lot of great teams we have to face there, but we know that if we prepare the best we can the next few days and go in with the right mindset, we will be happy with how we do there.”

The win gave SU their second double-digit win season since returning to Division I, just one win away from their 11-win total in 2013-14. They look to tie and surpass the win total next weekend at the WAC Tournament in Texas.
