“We played two tough opponents today in Washington State and Northern Arizona,” said head coach Adam Reeb, “I give credit to both teams as they executed better than us and deserved to win. We looked at this weekend as great preparation for WAC play as it’s been a physical and mental test. Great teams finish weekends off playing their best on Sundays, and that’s what we’re focused on now – defending our home courts and finishing the weekend strong against South Dakota State.”
Once the Northern Arizona win was clinched, the match was called due to pre-arranged travel plans. Against the Lumberjacks, Michelle Lui (Bellevue, Wash.) was able to take a point for the Redhawks at No. 1 singles.
Seattle U finishes their busy weekend of competition at home on Sunday, Feb. 7 vs. South Dakota State at 3 p.m. at the Tennis Center at Sand Point. Earlier in the day (10:30 a.m.), the Redhawk men’s team hosts Idaho for their first home match of the season. The Tennis Center at Sand Point is located at 7135 Sportsfield Dr. NE in Seattle.
