OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Seattle University women’s tennis earned their first postseason win as a full Division I member on Friday but could not overcome the No. 1 seed, New Mexico State, as the Aggies came away with a 4-0 win in the Western Athletic Conference semifinals to end the Redhawks’ season.

The Aggies earned the first doubles win before Michelle Lui (Bellevue, Wash.) and Kelli Woodman (Denver, Colo.) evened the tally with a 8-5 win in the No. 1 spot. NMSU would take a 1-0 lead and clinch the doubles point with a win at No. 2 doubles.

NMSU would follow with three straight singles wins, all in straight sets, to clinch the 4-0 win.

Seattle U women’s tennis will not lose anyone to graduation and returns several key young contributors, including Lui, the WAC Freshman of the Year. The Redhawks will look to continue improvement in the 2015-16 season.
