PHOENIX, Ariz. – Seattle University women’s tennis allowed Grand Canyon to earn the doubles point before falling in all six singles matches as the Lopes earned a 7-0 win in the Redhawks’ regular season finale.
Seattle U battled at No. 3 doubles but ultimately fell, 8-3, to GCU’s Lana Macukat and Lana Rinaldi.
Five of six singles matches ended in straight sets as Audrey Scott (Austin, Texas) took Lana Rinaldi to three sets, winning the second set and tiebreaker before ultimately losing the point at No. 6 singles.
The Western Athletic Conference tournament is set to take place Friday, Apr. 24 – Sunday, Apr. 26 in Kansas City, Mo. Stay tuned to GoSeattleU.com for match times and opponents leading up to the tournament.
