LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Seattle University men’s tennis dropped the doubles point before falling in each singles match as Grand Canyon earned a 7-0 victory in Western Athletic Conference play.

Matt Alderson (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) battled in the No. 6 singles spot to take the match to three sets but ultimately fell, 2-6, 6-3, 1-6 to GCU’s Mathieu Ounanian. Alexander Roggenkamp clinched the win for the ‘Lopes in the No. 2 singles match versus the Redhawks’ John Stormans (Olympia, Wash.).

Seattle U continues their trip in Las Vegas facing Idaho State on Tuesday, Mar. 24 and Portland State on Wednesday, Mar. 25 before closing the month in Edinburg, Texas with a pair of WAC matches versus Chicago State (Friday, Mar. 27) and Kansas City (Saturday, Mar. 28).
