LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After opening Western Athletic Conference play with a win versus Chicago State on Friday, Seattle University women’s tennis won the doubles point for the second straight match but only added one singles win as they fell, 5-2, to Texas Pan-American in league play.

The Redhawks clinched the first point with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles spots, nearly sweeping all three doubles matches, as the third went to a tiebreaker.

Kelli Woodman (Denver, Colo.) also picked up a win at No. 2 singles, 5-7, 6-4, 10-2, but the Broncs won five of six singles matches, ultimately earning a 5-2 victory.

SU faces New Mexico State on Sunday before leaving Las Cruces to face UTEP in El Paso on Monday.
