Tanner Berkabile (Las Vegas, Nev.) tied the score, 1-1, with a win at No. 4 singles but Idaho would answer with four straight singles wins to lead, 5-1.
Matt Alderson (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) picked up the Redhawks’ final singles win in the No. 6 spot to narrow the SU deficit, 5-2.
Seattle U will close the homestand versus Illinois State on Tuesday, Mar. 10 at 2 p.m. vs. Illinois State at Amy Yee Tennis Center but will stay in the Emerald City with a pair of matches at Washington on Friday, Mar. 13 starting at 4 p.m.
