Seattle University men’s tennis dropped the doubles point to the Bobcats, which would prove to be the difference maker as each team won three singles matches apiece and Montana State won the overall match, 4-3.

Riley Newman (Whidbey Island, Wash.) and Tanner Berkabile (Las Vegas, Nev.) won, 6-4, at No. 1 doubles, but the Redhawks would drop the matches in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots.

John Stormans (Olympia, Wash.), Ian Clare (Sachse, Texas), and Matt Alderson (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) would pick up wins in singles play in the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 6 spots, respectively, but the Bobcats would add to their lead with three singles wins of their own.

Seattle U will have two weeks off from competition before making a late-February trip to Colorado to face Northern Colorado, Air Force, and Abilene Christian.
