The Rainbow Warriors won the first three singles matches to finish, clinching the match with a 4-0 lead.
Ian Clare (Sachse, Texas) would capture a point for the Redhawks with a win over Chas Okamoto at No. 3 singles, 7-6(2), 6-1. At No. 6 singles, Matt Alderson (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) would take Joakim Pinola to a tiebreaker, but Pinola would ultimately win the final point for Hawai’i.
