The Eagles would earn the doubles point, winning the first two matches to finish, as the Redhawks fell behind early, 1-0. Eastern Washington would take a 2-0 lead as Janaya Smith won the first singles match to finish in the No. 1 spot.
Seattle U would gain the lead, 3-2, on singles wins by Michelle Lui (Bellevue, Wash.), Barbara Carey (Seattle, Wash.), and Madison Maloney (Idaho Falls, Idaho) at No. 2, No. 4, and No. 3 respectively.
EWU tied the tally as Katrina Domingo earned a win at No. 6 singles but Kristen James (Lubbock, Texas) would clinch the win at No. 5 singles, defeating Chrissy Uriarte, 6-3, 6-1, to earn the overall victory.
