Seattle University women’s tennis opened their spring dual competition at the No. 43 University of Washington and, after dropping the doubles point, was not able to overcome in singles play as they lost, 7-0.

The No. 2 and No. 3 doubles pairs for the Redhawks fell by 6-1 margins while Michelle Lui (Bellevue, Wash.) and Kelli Woodman (Denver, Colo.) came slightly closer at No. 1 doubles before falling, 6-3.

The Huskies were victorious in each singles match following, completing the sweep.

The team has two weeks off from dual play to prepare for their next competition before playing five matches in four days starting with Washington State and Lewis & Clark State on Jan. 22. Stay tuned to GoSeattleU.com for all the latest updates on the team.
