The Western Athletic Conference has announced the women’s soccer postseason award winners as selected by the league’s eight head coaches and Seattle University, the regular season co-champions, led all teams with six players across the two teams including Offensive Player of the Year.

Senior Stephanie Verdoia (Salt Lake City, Utah) earned her second consecutive WAC Offensive Player of the Year honor after leading the league in nearly every recordable offensive category including goals, points, shots, assists, and game-winning goals. On Senior Day, Verdoia moved into the top spot among Seattle U’s all-time career leaders in goals and points with her second career hat trick. On a national level, Verdoia was named Disney Soccer/NSCAA Women’s Soccer DI Player of the Week (Sept. 29-Oct. 5), was named a Senior CLASS Award Top 10 finalist, and most recently, was named to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team.

Verdoia also represented the Redhawks with First Team All-WAC honors alongside Taylor Ritzman (Holladay, Utah) and Kiana Kraft (Kent, Wash.). Representing Seattle U with Second Team All-WAC honors are Natasha Howe (Mission Viejo, Calif.), Kelly Beck (Tacoma, Wash.), and Stephanie Spiekerman (Seattle, Wash.).

The WAC tournament, hosted by Seattle U at Championship Field, opens on Thursday, Nov. 6 with two quarterfinal matches and the Redhawks will open play on Friday, Nov. 7 at 4:30 p.m. vs. the winner of No. 4 Bakersfield/No. 5 New Mexico State.
