The Seattle University men's golf team kicked off their last tournament of the fall season Friday, nearly completing two rounds at Price's Give Em Five Invite before darkness halted second-round action on the Iron Course of Butterfield Trail Golf Club in El Paso, Texas.

Colter Morton (Pocatello, Idaho) led the way for the Redhawks in the first round, shooting 2-over-par 74 in the morning session of play. He was tied for 30th in the individual standings.

Two Redhawks were just two strokes behind Morton after both turning in 4-over-par 76s. Will Holdridge (Lynden, Wash.) and Preston Matchett (Billings, Mont.) were both tied for 42nd before the start of round two. Just one stroke behind the pair sat Rob Seibly (Spokane, Wash.), who shot a 5-over-par 77 in the first round. He was tied for 50th place.

Rounding out the Redhawks roster, David Torres (Armenia, Colombia) shot 10-over-par 82 and was tied at 68th place.

Overall, the Redhawks were tied for 10th after the first round with a total score of 303, 15 strokes above par. Utah had the lead with a score of 7-under-par 281, while Northern Colorado's Charlie Mroz held the individual lead with a 4-under-par 68.

Three Redhawks players finished out round two, but both Seibly and Holdridge have holes left to complete. They will resume second round play Saturday, October 27 at 6:30 a.m. PST (7:30 a.m. local time). The third and final round is currently scheduled to start at 7:15 a.m. PST in a shotgun format.
