Columbia Basin College: Morton was named to the NWAACC All-Academic First Team and graduated with his Associates degree. .
Pocotello High School: Morton spent time on the golf team for the Indians, making on state appearance. He also played baseball, football, and basketball, earning eight total varsity letters. He was named MVP of the state basketball championship and to the All-State team in Basketball. In football, he was named to the All-Area team. He made two state appearances each in baseball, basketball, and football. He also won the High School Most-Athletic Award. In addition, Morton was named the school's offensive player of the year in both football and basketball. While not playing sports, Morton was also part of the National Honor Society and acted as Junior class vice-president.
Personal: Full name is Colter Chase Morton. His parents are Kelly Morton and Shelly Stranski and he has an older sister, Cassia, two older brothers named Matt and Rychael, and a brother of the same age named Eric. His step-father, Scott Stranski, played both football and baseball at Northwestern and spent nine years in professional baseball. Morton is majoring in sport and exercise science.
