In the third and final round of the WSU Snowman Invitational, the Seattle University men’s team finished 15th with a final team score of 926 (+62) at the Whirlwind Golf Club.
Ian Dahl (Longview, Wash.) continued to lead the Redhawks with an improved third round score of 71, ending the tournament with a total of 222 (+6), tied for 29th. Chris Holway (Longview, Wash.)scored 78 in the third round to tie for 60th with 233 (+17).
Jordan Beals (Enumclaw, Wash.) finished with a 78 in the final round and a total of 236 (+20) for a tie at 68th, and Paul Pavlos (Woodinville, Wash.) shot an 80 in the third round to finish 73rd with 239 (+23). John Payton (Sammamish, Wash.) rounded out the team’s effort with an improved round of 77 to tie for 74th with 242 (+26).
The team posted a cumulative score of 304 for the third round, an improvement over each of the first two rounds. Missouri won the tournament with a final score of 841 (-23), a full 25 strokes ahead of the second-place Idaho. Missouri was led by medalist Emilio Cuartero with a final score of 206 (-10), five strokes ahead of teammate William Harrold at 211 (-5).
The men will have nearly a month off before traveling to Irvine, Calif. for the Folino Invitational, March 20-22.
