Holway played a steady round with 13 pars and was one-under-par on the par-three holes, while Dahl earned five birdies during his round, recovering from shooting 40 on the front side to posting a back-nine score of 32. Holway and Dahl are tied for 14th in the individual standings, five shots behind co-leaders Mason Casper of Utah Valley and Benjamin Schilleman of Utah State.
Jordan Beals (Enumclaw, Wash.) led the field in par-four scoring at three-under-par as he shot 75 (+3) in Monday's round to finish the day in a tie for 35th place. Rob Seibly (Spokane, Wash.) also collected 13 pars during the round and finished in a tie for 57th place with a first-round score of 79 (+7), and John Payton (Sammamish, Wash.) shot 82 (+10) to finish the first day in 69th place.
As a team, Seattle University posted a cumulative score of 298 (+10) to end up in a tie for seventh place with Colorado School of Mines, 13 strokes behind tournament leader Dixie State. Among Division I schools, Utah Valley leads the way at 286, followed by College of Charleston (288), Utah State (290), and Cal State Fullerton (291).
The tournament will conclude Tuesday with 18 more holes starting at 9 a.m. local time shotgun-style.
