The Redhawk women swim team completed its weekend with a meet against Loyola Marymount and UC Davis on Sunday, Nov. 7 in Davis, Calif. Seattle U lost by a narrow margin to Loyola Marymount 138-122, and also feel to UC Davis 169-87.
The Redhawks had multiple second place finishes. Junior Hayley Cobb (Irvine, Calif.) took second in both the 200 and 500 freestyle with times of 1:54.68 and 5:08.55. Sophomore Marina Pomar-Enders (Mill Creek, Wash.) claimed second in the 1650 yard freestyle in 17:55.09. Sophomore Rachel Leighter (Eugene, ore.) finished second in the 200 backstroke in 2:09.30, and also took fourth place in the 100 backstroke in 1:01.51.
In the 400 IM, senior Heather Nelson (Bremerton, Wash.) took second by touching the pad at 4:39.99, quickly followed by junior Alexis Morehouse (Vancouver, Wash.) in third with a time of 4:42.78.
Boggs, junior Tina Nguyen (Hillsboro, Ore.), senior Kelsey Henan (Billings, Mont.), and sophomore Kevlyn Richards (Gig Harbor, Wash.) took second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:41.08.
The Redhawks will next take on Simon Fraser in the Connolly Center on Saturday, Nov. 13th at 1 p.m.
