The Seattle University men's golf team followed Sunday's first round score of 296 with a 293 in the second round Monday to put itself in fourth place after 36 holes of the Kauai Collegiate Invitational, hosted by the University of Hawaii at the Puakea Golf Course.

Rob Seibly (Spokane, Wash.) followed a first-round 74 with a team-best 70 in the second round to post a cumulative score of 144 (even par), good enough for 10th place. Preston Matchett (Billings, Mont.) shot 71 in the first round and 74 in the second round, finding himself in 11th place currently with a two-round total of 145 (+1).

Chris Holway (Longview, Wash.) posted the same score in each of the first two rounds, shooting 75 on each day of the tournament for a 36-hole score of 150 (+6). Holway is tied for 21st place, along with teammate Paul Pavlos (Woodinville, Wash.), who combined rounds of 76 and 74 over the first two days. Ian Dahl (Longview, Wash.) shot 77 in Sunday's opening round and 76 in Monday's second circuit for a total score of 153 (+9) to currently find himself in a tie for 35th place.

As a team, Seattle University has combined for a two-round score of 589 (+13), three strokes ahead of Gonzaga. San Diego, the defending team champion, has taken control of the tournament with an 11-stroke lead after two rounds. Gunner Wiebe of San Diego leads the individual standings with a two-round total of 137 (-7), three strokes ahead of British Columbia's Scott Malo.

The tournament will conclude with one final round of 18 holes Tuesday, Oct. 26, beginning at 8 a.m. local time.
