The Seattle University men's golf team concluded the 2009-10 season with a 23rd place finish at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. Behind a final-round 71 from Ian Dahl (Longview, Wash.), the Redhawks concluded the two-day tournament with three players in the top-100 at the Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Dahl led the Redhawks throughout tournament, with scores of 73 and 79 in his first two rounds of the three-round tournament. He concluded with a cumulative score of 223 (+13), tied for 65th place with six other participants.

Rob Siebly (Spokane, Wash.), who shot a team-best 69 in his opening round, closed out the tournament with a cumulative score of 226 (+16). In his final two rounds, he finished with 81 and 76, to land tied for 87th place with one other player.

Rounding the SeattleU players who finished in the top-100, was Chris Holway (Longview, Wash.). He shot 74, 76 and 79 in his three rounds on the course, to post a cumulative score of 229 (+19). Holway tied three other participants, to conclude with a 97th place finish.

Preston Matchett (Billings, Mont.) played consistently over his three rounds, posting scores of 77, 77 and 78. He finished with a cumulative score of 232 (+22), tied for 108th. Concluding the Redhawk participants was Alec Pakzad (Bellevue, Wash.), who tallied scores of 77, 83 and 80. He closed out the tournament with a cumulative score of 240 (+30) to land him tied for 121st place.

SeattleU, as a team, finished with a cumulative score of 910 (+70). During their three rounds of play, they posted scores of 293, 313 and 304, to finish 10 strokes ahead of Weber State. Cal State Northridge won the team title with a cumulative score of 841, while Gunner Wiebe from San Diego earned the individual title with a cumulative score of 203 (-7).

The Redhawks are poised to return all five players who competed in this week's tournament and all 11 student-athletes on their roster are eligible to compete in 2010-11 season. SeattleU will look forward to competition next year behind a much more experienced roster.
