Nicholas Alvarado (San Francisco, Calif.) set a new school record in the men's 3000 meter run, finishing second in his race with a time of 8:32.30. Erik Barkhaus (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) finished behind Alvarado with a time of 8:34.63, also below the previous school record. Nick Cannata-Bowman (San Francisco, Calif.) also competed in the event, finishing with a time of 9:36.14, while Sarah Bolce (Sacramento, Calif.) ran in the women's 3000 meter run, finishing seventh in her section with a final time of 10:35.51.
Christopher Fussell (Las Vegas, Nev.) won his heat of the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.03 seconds. He then proceeded to do the same thing in the 200 meter dash, finishing fifth overall in the event with a time of 22.24 seconds. Zach Stanfield (Adna, Wash.) also won his heat in the 200 meter dash, placing tenth overall with a time of 22.57 seconds.
Tom Mezzera (San Francisco, Calif.) tied for sixth overall in the 400 meter dash with a time of 48.78 seconds, while Daniel Sullivan (Tukwila, Wash.) posted a time of 51.48 seconds. The two sprinters joined with Stanfield and Jude Martinez (Hagatna, Guam) to finish the 4x400 meter relay in 3:23.29.
On the women's side, Meeghan Bergmann (Portland, Ore.) posted the team's fastest time in the 400 meter dash with a mark of 1:00.99, followed by Rachel Purcell (Mission Viejo, Calif.) in 1:01.17 and Clare Obradovich (Tigard, Ore.) in 1:02.30. The three female runners, along with Navotni Minter (Edmond, Okla.), participated in the women's 4x400 meter relay, finishing the event in 4:12.09.
In the field events, Mara Becker (Fairbanks, Alaska) cleared a height of 4'11.75" in the high jump, while Kaytie Bateman (Chehalis, Wash.) posted a top leap of 14'10.75" in the long jump. Becca Urbany (Damascus, Ore.) jumped 34'0.75" in the triple jump, and Lindsay Currier (Beaverton, Ore.) had a top throw of 29'10.25" in the shot put.
Seattle University will head to Portland, Ore., to compete in the Pilot Indoor, hosted by the University of Portland, next Sunday, Feb. 7, beginning at 11 a.m.
