2009-10 Track & Field: At Albertsons, competed in 800 Meter Run, placed 36th with a time of 2:04.31 ... At Pelluer Invitational, competed in 1500 Meter Run, placed 3rd with a time of 4:14.29 ... 2010 Indoor Track: Competed in the Great West Conference Championships in South Dakota, finishing sixth in the 3000 meter with a time of 8:49.96.
2009 Cross Country: Ran a 28:11 at the West Coast Preview 8K event on Sept. 11th, a 25:44 at Sundodger on Sept. 19th, and a 28:05 at the Emerald City Invite on Oct. 3rd. Led the Redhawks with a time of 20:33 at the Mike Hodges Invitational Oct. 16th. Completed the Great West Conference Championships with a time of 27:25.96 on Oct. 31.
2008 Cross Country: Missed the season due to injury.
2007 Cross Country: Alvarado was once again one of the team's top runners throughout the year, beginning with a fifth place finish at the Emerald City Invitational in 28:14.43. He earned two top-25 finishes: a 23rd place showing at the Pier Park Preview in 26:30.7 and a 25th place finish at the GNAC Championships in 26:41. He finished in 33rd place at the Western Washington Invitational (34:58.3), in 44th place at the NCAA West Regionals (32:30), and 61st at the Charles Bowles Invitational (25:56.95). He was named to the GNAC All-Academic team after the season for his performance in the classroom.
2006 Cross Country: Nicholas led the team at the Sundodger Invitational, finishing in 72nd place with a time of 26:26. He was also the Redhawks' top finisher at the Emerald City Invitational, placing eighth in a time of 27:31.18. Was Seattle's top finisher at the Charles Bowles Invite in Salem, Ore. with a time of 26:27.45 over 8000 meters. Led Seattle with a 33rd place finish at the Western Washington Invite with a 10k time of 34:31. Was Seattle's top finisher at the GNAC Championships with a 25th place finish and an 8k time of 26:05.19. Led the Redhawks at the West Region meet in Chico, Calif. with a 10k time of 35:22.75 to finish in 68th place.
High School: Nicholas was an All-League performer at St. Ignatius College Prep. He finished 13th in the California Division III state meet and led his team to a third place finish. His best times are 15:57 for 5000 meters, 9:00 for 3000 meters, 4:24 for 1600 meters, and 9:29 for 3200 meters.
Personal: Nicholas' parents are Linda and Paul Alvarado. He is a psychology major at Seattle University.
