Jordan Anderson (Newberg, Ore.) and Eric Pedack (Snohomish, Wash.) each earned two victories in the men's dual meet against Brigham Young University, while Alexis Morehouse (Vancouver, Wash.) earned a first place and a second place finish as the women faced BYU, New Mexico, and Boise State Friday evening at the Richards Building Pool.

Anderson finished first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.73 seconds and in the 100 freestyle in a time of 46.94 seconds. Pedack's victories came in the 200 butterfly after posting a time of 1:57.92 and in the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.16 seconds. The wins were not enough for Seattle University, as BYU won the dual meet, 184-108.

Of the 14 events that the SeattleU men competed in, the Redhawks earned five victories, with the other one coming in the 100 backstroke, as Bryson Chiu (Carmel, Ind.) finished first with a time of 52.71 seconds. Chiu also finished second in the 200 breaststroke, touching the wall to post a time of 2:09.12, and in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:57.06.

Murray Longbotham (Mercer Island, Wash.) finished second in both the 200 freestyle after posting a time of 1:43.75 and in the 500 freestyle in 4:51.04, along with a third place finish in the 200 butterfly in 2:05.62. Joe Wertz (Richland, Wash.) finished second in the 200 backstroke in a time of 1:56.35 and third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.53 seconds.

On the women's side, Morehouse lowered her school record in the 200 breaststroke by 1/100th of a second, winning the event in 2:21.68. In the 100 breaststroke, she was the runner-up by less than a second, posting a time of 1:05.67.

Senior Elizabeth Hanohano (Honolulu, Hawaii) anchored the 200 medley relay team to a sixth place finish in 1:51.31, finished tenth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.21 seconds, earned a ninth place finish in the 100 freestyle in 54.43 seconds, and led off the 200 freestyle relay squad that finished in sixth place in 1:40.81.

Rachel Leighter (Eugene, Ore.) finished in seventh place in both the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:02.27, just 2/100ths of a second ahead of teammate Tina Nguyen (Hillsboro, Ore.), and in the 200 backstroke in 2:10.84. Kevlyn Richards (Gig Harbor, Wash.) finished eighth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.05, Megan Kelley (Las Vegas, Nev.) earned an eighth place finish in the 200 butterfly in 2:11.89, and Briley Boggs (Federal Way, Wash.) finished ninth in the 100 butterfly with a time of 59.71 seconds.

As a team, the Seattle University women lost to BYU, 241-52, to New Mexico, 200-93, and to Boise State, 228-64. BYU defeated New Mexico and Boise State, while Boise State earned the victory over New Mexico.

Seattle University heads to Salt Lake City, Utah, for a meet that begins at 1 p.m. local time Saturday, Nov. 7. The men will face the University of Utah only, while the women will take on Utah, New Mexico, and Boise State. The Redhawk women will host Idaho next Friday, Nov. 13, beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a meet involving both SeattleU teams against Whitworth next Saturday, Nov. 14, also starting at 1 p.m. at the Connolly Center Pool.
