was led in scoring by Leigh Swanson () with 15 points. However, the real hero for was a stifling defense that forced 21 turnovers and held the Mountaineers to just 26.5 percent shooting for the game. Shaun Burl () led the defense with five steals.

took a 27-20 lead to half and led just 37-32 nine and a half minutes into the second half before they used a big run to pull away. Offensively got to the foul line to put some points on the board, while the defense held scoreless for almost seven full minutes.

First, it was Ryan Coldren () who got to the line for two free throws. Coldren shot just 2-9 from the field, but was 7-7 from the foul line for his 11 points and led with eight rebounds.

Drew Harris () then followed with four free throws in a 30 second span before Swanson added a pair of free throws to push the lead to 12.

Seattle then got a 3-pointer from Ricky Berry (Phoenix, Ariz.), one of only two for the night for Seattle as they struggled from downtown, shooting just 2-18.

After one more free throw from Swanson, led 52-32 and had effectively put the game out of reach thanks to a 15-0 run.
