2008-09: Swanson appeared in 20 games his senior season averaging 6.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 19.9 minutes per game. He shot a stellar 90.9 percent from the free throw line on 22 attempts and his 45.8 percent shooting from the field ranked fourth on the team. Swanson scored in double figures 5 times, including a season high 15 at Portland State December 6th  in which he went 7-for-12 from the field.   

2007-08: Swanson started in 13 of the 27 games he played in for the Redhawks during his junior season. He averaged 7.8 points and 4.4 rebounds in 21.1 minutes per game. Swanson's 118 rebounds were third best on the team and included a season high of 10 boards on January 10 versus Seattle Pacific. Swanson scored his season high 15 points on December 1 versus Western State, he went 6-for-8 from the field and pulled down 7 rebounds as well. He was also one of three men's basketball members to be named to the Academic All-GNAC team for the second consecutive year. 

2006-07: Swanson was one of two Redhawks to start all 29 games in 2006-07, averaging 28.0 minutes per contest.  He was second on the team with both 12.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.  Swanson led Seattle with 141 field goals made and was second in free throws made with 69.  He also shot 51.6 percent from the field, third best for Seattle. Swanson totaled at least 20 points four times including a season-high 23 at Colorado Christian on November 24. Swanson had the only two 20 and 10 games for Seattle scoring 20 points and grabbing a season-high 11 rebounds versus Western Oregon on February 8, and scoring 20 points and grabbing ten boards versus Northwest Nazarene on February 24. Swanson was named to the Academic All-GNAC team as well as ESPN the magazine Second Team Academic All-District as presented by CoSIDA.

2005-06: Swanson finished 32nd in the GNAC in rebounding (4.0) and 18th in offensive rebounds (1.74). Swanson finished ranked 31st in rebounding against GNAC teams (4.1 rpg), 23rd in blocked shots (0.39 bpg) and 19th in offensive rebounds (1.83)... Swanson led the Redhawks with the game-high in rebounds twice... Swanson led SU in steals twice, grabbing two balls away in an 86-74 loss against Western Washington and two balls away in a 90-83 overtime win at Northwest Nazarene... Swanson led the Redhawks in blocks four times, including a three block performance in a 91-75 win at Saint Martin[apos]s Feb. 18... Swanson scored 10 points or more in eight games for the Redhawks... Swanson grabbed at least four rebounds or more in 14 games... Swanson grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds in an 82-72 win against Alaska Anchorage Feb. 4... Swanson dished off a season-high three assists in a 90-70 win against Hawaii Pacific Dec. 1.

Mountlake Terrace HS: Leigh Swanson was a McDonald's All-American nominee as a senior...averaged 12.9 points per game as a senior and led team to a 22-6 record...also averaged 10.9 points per game as a junior as the Hawks went 20-6...was named all-Wesco South first team in 2005...led team to the Wesco South title and a third-place finish in the state in 2005...also played baseball for the Hawks for two seasons.
