Nine Seattle Men’s Soccer Players Earn All-GNAC Recognition

Cascio, Fishbaugher, and Forner Earn First Team Honors.

Nine players for the Seattle University Men’s Soccer team were honored today as All-GNAC performers this season. ’s three first-team honorees were forward Jason Cascio, and midfielders, John Fishbaugher, and Eric Forner.

Cascio, Fishbaugher, and Forner were all named All-GNAC first team for the second consecutive season. Cascio and Fishbaugher were also two of the five unanimous selections.

Four players were selected second team All-GNAC. Those players were senior defender, Dustin Allbery; junior midfielder, Andrew Kreiter; junior defender, Chris Hodges; and sophomore goalkeeper, Emerson DeOliveira. All four players are making their first appearance on the all-GNAC teams.

Receiving honorable mention honors for were two freshmen, midfielder Sean Morris and defender, David Raney. The duo were two of just seven freshman honored on the All-GNAC teams.

Sam Charles of Montana State Billings was named GNAC player of the year after leading the GNAC in goals scored with 19. coach, Travis Connell was named coach of the year after leading the Vikings to a 13-6-1, (4-3-1 GNAC) record. Western also had the newcomer of the year, Samir Vejo and the freshman of year, Gibson Bardsley.

, after winning the GNAC title with a 6-1-1 record had the most honorees with nine. After receiving first team recognition, Cascio, Fishbaugher and Forner will now be eligible for the All-Region teams.
