#21 Men’s Soccer suffers tough road loss

Redhawks fail to breakthrough in 1-0 loss

, ? The #21 men’s soccer lost a tough road match at Montana State Billings by a score of 1-0 on Friday afternoon. falls to 0-1 in GNAC play, but remains 5-2 overall.

The match was a hard fought defensive battle with the two teams combing for only six shots on goal, four of which were from the Redhawks. Overall, outshot the Yellow jackets 11-8.

John Fishbaugher (, ) led with three shots, including two on goal. Andrew Kreiter (, ) and Jason Cascio () had the other shots on goal, but none could find the back of the net.

The game went to halftime scoreless, not anything new for Seattle who had won their last two games on second half game-winning goals from Cameron Mertens, (Kennewick, Wash.) after entering the half scoreless.

It was not to be this time however, as Montana State Billing forward Sam Charles beat goalkeeper Jordan Jennings () in the 69th minute for the game’s only goal. The goal was the ninth of the season for Charles who leads GNAC in that category.

MSUB improved to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in GNAC. The Yellow jackets are competing in GNAC for the first time this season, having just entered the league this year.
