Joseph Hardy is entering his first season as an assistant coach with Seattle U track and field and cross country.
A 2018 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Hardy was a three time All-American on the track and competed three times at Cross Country Nationals. He was a five-time academic All-Big 10 honoree and was an Academic All-American in 2018. On the track, his notable accomplishments include winning the 2015 Big 10 outdoor 1500m. He owns lifetime bests of 3:43 for the 1500m, 7:57 for the 3000m and 13:46 for the 5000m.
Prior to his time at Wisconsin, Hardy had an very accomplished prep career at Seattle Prep in his hometown of Seattle. Hardy, won four state titles in cross country and track. Twice he was a Nike Cross Nationals (NXN) individual qualifier and a one time qualifier for Footlocker cross country nationals. He currently works for the King County Housing Authority and lives in Seattle with his girlfriend and their two cats.
